Community Haven hosts Justice rally for Grove Street

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- It’s been 4 weeks since the tragic shooting on Grove Street where 7 women were shot and 2 were killed.

Today, The Community Haven and other community leaders went to the Westside Softball Fields to rally for justice.

The main message, unity.

After four weeks, there haven’t been any leads on suspects.

Organizers want to raise 10,000 dollars for a reward.

But, they also want officials to protect whoever decides to speak out against what happened.

Kevin Muhammad says, “What if that was your daughter? What if it was your sister? What if it was your relative or best friend and you saw what happened? Now, what are you going to do? Are you going to come forward? See, we gotta start feeling each other pain. Once we start feeling one another’s pain, we will get the courage and the strength to talk about and to come forward.”

The rally raised 7,000 dollars today.

They had over 3,000 in pledges.
