WARRENSBURG, Mo. - A second-half rally by FHSU Women's Soccer fell short against No. 17 Central Missouri by a final score of 4-2 on Friday night.

Down 3-0, the Tigers netted a pair of goals to pull within one with ten minutes left, but the Jennies were able to score once more with just under six minutes remaining to seal a victory. The Jennies improved to 11-1-1 (5-0-1 MIAA) and the Tigers fell to 4-6-3 (1-5 MIAA).

The Jennies jumped ahead early as they found the net in the 10th minute and the 30th minute off of a couple of nice crosses into the box to build a 2-0 lead, which was the score at halftime. The Jennies continued their scoring again just two minutes into the second half, extending their lead to 3-0.

The Tigers began to fight back on offense as Alex Hutton notched her third goal of the season in the 67th minute off a pass from Cailey Perkins. Hutton raced past her defender and beat the keeper in a 1-on-1 situation. Amanda Rapaduski followed by scoring her fourth goal of the season in the 79th minute on the left side of the box off of a pass from Carly Walker. The Tigers kept looking for opportunities to equalize the match, but UCM put the game away with the late goal. The Jennies led in the shot count for the match 21-17. Keepers Deonna Wellbrock and Maddie Meehan combined for eight saves, while UCM keeper Lindsey Johnson recorded only three.

The Tigers will look for a much-needed win in Joplin on Sunday when they face off with the Lions of Missouri Southern. Kick off is scheduled for 2 pm.
