Chattanooga Hip Hop Week wraps up

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Hip Hop enthusiasts were wrapping up Chattanooga Hip Hop Week at Miller Park.

All week long events have been happening in and around Chattanooga.

Today’s events included music, vendors and an outdoor conference with artists from all around the United States.

Organizers say that Hip Hop week allows them to give back to new artists.

“Hip hop is a sub genre that has often been scrutinized and criticized. But, it’s art form for the youth. It’s American Folk music and we’re just breaking down a lot of stigmas and giving back to the community as well. A lot of up and coming artists don’t have resources to get this knowledge, these resources and this networking. So, we want to give back to those artists”, says C-Grimey, Chattanooga Hip Hop Summit organizer.

The week wrapped up with a free live concert.
