Kreilach Breaks Real Salt Lake Record While Herrera Adds 10th Assist

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake scored the game’s opening goal in the 12th minute against bitter rival Colorado Rapids when Aaron Herrera played a ball into the box that found the forehead of Damir Kreilach at the back post who calmly pushed the ball into the back of the net.
The goal broke a Real Salt Lake record as Kreilach has now scored in five consecutive games while Herrera added his 10th assist of the season and tied with Albert Rusnák for most assists on the team.
Kreilach added his 14th goal of the season which leads the team in goals scored.

Kreilach was previously tied with Luis Silva, Jeff Cunningham, and Álvaro Saborío who had scored in four consecutive games previously.
The goal gave Real Salt Lake the 1-0 lead over Colorado Rapids in a game that would ultimately decide the Rocky Mountain Cup. The fixture marks a six-game home stretch that will take place over a 22-day period.
