Ring Elementary School Food Service Workers Care About Their Kids

Ring Elementary School Food Services workers, Shirley White, Gracie White, Adele Rasmussen and Genevieve Payne, recently prepared grab-and-go breakfast for students in their school.

Ring Elementary School Food Service Workers, Adele Rasmussen, Genevieve Payne, Gracie White and Shirley White; love their “kids.”

“Seeing those little, smiling faces is what it is all about,” said Mrs. Payne.

These dedicated employees work every day to provide breakfast and lunch for almost 300 students. Each morning they create grab and go breakfast for students to take home at the end of the day for the next day. They deliver the breakfasts by insulated bags to each classroom. They also provide hot and cold lunches for every child in the school, in addition to separating bags and meals for those students who have allergies.

This year, the ladies have an added “job,” helping kindergartners and first graders, who were not in school last year, understand how to get their lunch when they come to the cafeteria.

Ring Elementary School salutes their food service ladies. Their hard work and dedication ensures that the free meals necessary to keep young minds alert and ready to meet the day’s learning are available every day.
