GLOCESTER, RI (WJAR) —
The Annual Glocester Scarecrow Festival has returned for its fourth year a year late, after being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Residents have been creating scarecrows to be put on display at the Chepachet Union Church until the end of October.
The festival was set to be held for just one day in 2020 before COVID restrictions changed in August, leading organizers to cancel.
"Our biggest concern was making the pedestrian traffic one way on each side of the street on the day of the festival," said Organizer March Rechter. "We felt we would be unable to control that along the half-mile of the street. That was not part of the information in August."
