Police investigate home burglaries: Lakewood Police Blotter

LAKEWOOD, Ohio –

Burglary: Newman Avenue

A woman called the police department at 7:55 a.m. Oct. 7 to report her house was broken into overnight. The suspects entered through a dining room window.

Grand theft vehicle: Emily Avenue

A man called police at 1:14 p.m. Oct. 5 stating he believed his vehicle had been stolen.

Burglary: Cove Avenue

A woman called police at 1:46 p.m. Oct. 5 to report a suspected burglary at her neighbor’s home. The caller reported seeing broken glass and being unable to get ahold of the neighbor.

Theft: Hilliard Road

A man called the police at 8:39 a.m. Oct. 4 to report his vehicle was broken into overnight and money was missing.

Disorderly conduct: Grove Avenue

A woman called the police at 1:58 a.m. Oct. 3 reporting a suspicious male in her neighborhood who was scared off by a barking dog. Police located a suspect matching the caller’s description. He told officers he was just lost, and police found no evidence of cars in the area being tampered with, according to a police report. However, police arrested the man for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Disorderly conduct: Belle Avenue

A resident called police at 2:37 a.m. Oct. 3 to report hearing and seeing a man across the street rolling on the ground and howling. Police charged the suspect with disorderly conduct while intoxicated, according to a police event report.

Theft: Bayes Avenue

A man reported on Oct. 1 discovering the catalytic converter from his truck was taken while the vehicle was parked on the street.
