The nominees for the Ballon d’Or have been announced, and the favorite to win the award is Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi once again. Nonetheless, other candidates are hoping to challenge the 34-year-old.

Chelsea duo N’Golo Kante and Jorginho are two names that could take the award home, and if it were up to former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra, one of these players would win the Ballon d’Or over Messi.

Evra was on Amazon Prime Sports France, where he admitted that he’s tired of seeing Messi win the award year after year.

“In my opinion, this Ballon d’Or is for Kante or Jorginho… I’m sick of giving it to Messi,” Evra said. “What did he win last year? Okay, the Copa America [with Argentina]. With Barcelona, what did he do?”
