Saturday’s WaterFire celebrates RI’s People of Color communities

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Providence is gearing up for a WaterFire event Saturday evening.
The lighting will begin 20 minutes past sunset, and will stay lit until 11 p.m.
The event will celebrate Rhode Island’s Black, Indigenous, and People of Color communities. In addition, it will welcome parents and alumni for Brown University’s Family Weekend.
Performances will start at 5 p.m. at the Waterplace Basin Stage.
