WORCESTER — A cold front slowly making its way to the region will likely bring moderately stormy weather to Central Massachusetts around 8 p.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Norton.

"These storms generally aren't severe, although some isolated stronger storms with gusty winds and lightning could occur," Torry Gaucher, NWS meteorologist, said.

Gaucher added that he doesn't anticipate any cause for concern.

"A cold front is a boundary between two different air masses," he said. "We've been in a bit of warmer, more humid air mass until now and this cold front is essentially just a boundary, behind which is cooler, less humid air."

Sunday is expected to be cooler and seasonable, with temperatures in the upper 50s to 60s, partly cloudy, and less breezy than Saturday.
