Chose, Barbara Lynn (Koehler) age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Minneapolis on October 3rd 2021, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on January 16, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN. She spent early childhood years in Corpus Christi, TX before moving back to MN and graduating from Roosevelt High School. After gaining experience in several customer service jobs, Barb went on to work for 3M for the next 25 years as she provided for her three sons. She took on a retirement job as office manager for CCS Concrete and Masonry where employees referred to her as "Ma." Barb was a perfect blend of class and sass. She always had a smile on her face while something witty flowed from her mouth. Her home was an active place, with the welcome mat out and the coffee pot on. She simply loved people, especially her family. Her laugh was contagious, yet when she inquired about your well-being, it came from a place of genuine concern. Barb had many hobbies and her hands were rarely still as she generously crafted gifts or baked goodies for others. Barb liked to follow current events, was very civic-minded and had great love for her country. Casinos and flea markets were also favorite pastimes. Barb enjoyed road-trips throughout MN and spent the last 15 years in the RGV as a Winter Texan, carrying on the family tradition passed down from her parents. Although tiny and frail in her final days, the mightiness of Barb's spirit will live long in all who knew her. Preceded in death by parents Philip and Betty Koehler. Barb is survived by her brother, Patrick (Simone) Koehler, three loving sons; Anthony (Debra) Olejar, Todd Phillip and Terry John Chose, five grandchildren; Nikki (Chad) Bergstrom, Ryan Olejar, Brianna (Chris) Thomas, McKenzie (Michael) Rhymes, Gabrielle Chose, 11 great grandchildren and 2 nieces; many beloved friends in MN and TX. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on October 31st at the Cremation Society of MN in Edina, 7110 France Ave., South. Visitation begins at 11:00, Memorial Service at 12:00 noon followed by an on-site luncheon.
