Anderson, Don of Blaine, passed away Oct 8 with his beloved wife Pat, son Eric (Kim) & Daughter Nancy White by his side. Born Oct 31, 1936, Don grew up in Benson, MN, son of Chester & Olga. A Staff Sergeant in the Natl. Guard for 3 yrs, Don also attended St. Cloud State for 2+ yrs then spent 49 yrs as a barber, becoming Owner of Don's Barber Shop in Spring Lake Park. Despite recent health issues, Don remained active. He passed away peacefully, following an aneurysm while working in the garage. Don enjoyed the outdoors (hunting or just tinkering in the yard), sporting events of his grandkids: Josh (Helen) & Morgan White, Jordan & Taylor Anderson, Hawaii, auto racing, the Vikings & was an avid reader of WW II history. Don was generous, with strong beliefs, honesty & character. He never loved retirement, he always wanted "something to do." Don loved joking around with people & shooting the breeze with friends. But more than anything, Don loved Pat, his wife of almost 59 years. A celebration of Don's life will be held Dec 12, 3-6pm at Mary Ann Young Center, 9150 Central Ave NE, Blaine
