Paul Finebaum just made the entire Alabama football fanbase mad with his bold prediction.

It is only a week since the Alabama football team suffered its first defeat of the season, but ESPN’s Paul Finebaum is not a believer in this year’s team.

Finebaum appeared on Get Up! during the middle of the week to let us all know how he feels about the 2021 Crimson Tide. Though they will be favored in their remaining regular-season games, Alabama was a massive road favorite at a two-loss Texas A&M team, who they fell to. What this really comes down to for Finebaum is he does not believe Alabama can beat Georgia.

“I don’t think I’ve gone against Alabama in 10 years but I’m betting my house against them this time,” said Finebaum. “I don’t see it because they have to play Georgia. They can negotiate the rest of the season and they probably will.”

“If you look at the FPI, they don’t have what I would call a really dangerous game. Well, of course, I didn’t think Texas A&M was a dangerous game, but to beat Georgia, they have to do things they haven’t done this year. And quite frankly, Heather [Dinich] already laid out the Georgia template. I don’t see it happening.”

Alabama has a sneaky, under-the-radar road game at the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Week 7.

Paul Finebaum does not think Alabama will make the College Football Playoff

While Alabama does control its own destiny, the Crimson Tide will likely be up against it when they presumably meet the Georgia Bulldogs in Atlanta for the 2021 SEC Championship. Alabama would have to win that game to reach the playoff. Though a two-loss team will get in eventually, that team is not likely to be coming out of the SEC this season. Possibly the Big Ten, but not the SEC.

Finebaum believes Alabama will miss the playoff for the second time in three seasons this year.
