A cathartic experience for Leicester City fans around the globe as words fail to describe the euphoric ebb and flow this game had offered. The factor for this match was Cristiano Ronaldo’s Premier League comeback tour. Poetically, when the Portuguese left the colors of Manchester United to move to Real Madrid, Leicester City was at their bottom, struggling with the third tier of English football.

Dramatically, each had their branching stories that could motivate many dreamers. Ronaldo winning Ballon d’Or on multiple occasions validated him as one of two generational talents. The Foxes enjoyed their mercurial rise to the top by winning three top silverware in England since those tough times walked away from Filbert Street.

However dissimilar those things look, both have found success in their respective tales and had achieved accolades that seem impossible. There was a worry amongst the Foxes, what if United salvages all three points from a referee’s shenanigans? Let’s not sugarcoat the obvious: decisions against the big six (especially the Red Devils) have always been an uphill struggle for minnows like us.

I am a pragmatist in real life, but when it comes to supporting the club that my heart encases, I tend to be high on optimism. Over the week, I went to multiple shows on YouTube that had me represent the Blue Army. The hosts in those shows demanded predictions, and I felt being 13th in the Premier League, nothing more than a win against one of the most recognized clubs in the world could do justice.
