There is little doubt that people are getting impatient waiting for any updates on Alice in Borderland Season 2. Interestingly, the long wait for the show's second season has led to fans streaming another manga adaptation on Netflix. The live-action adaptation of Death Note is currently trending in some Netflix territories as fans realize that Alice in Borderland main actor Kento Yamazaki is in the series.
The world knows Yamazaki as Ryohei Arisu in the live-action adaptation of Alice in Borderland but the 27-year-old actor has already taken on other notable roles in the world of manga. One of his biggest roles was in NTV's 2015 series based on Death Note where he portrayed the mysterious international detective simply known as L.
Some Alice in Borderland fans have recently found out about Yamazaki's previous show and have started streaming Death Note on Netflix. Not surprisingly, the series is currently trending in several Asian territories where it is available on the streaming service.
Arisu and L are not the only major manga characters that Yamazaki have brought to life. He also portrayed Josuke Higashitaka in Takashi Miike's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I which adapted the Hirohiko Araki manga.
There is little doubt that seeing Yamazaki as L is a great comfort for fans who are eager to see his return as Arisu in Alice in Borderland Season 2. Although the series has already been confirmed for a second season, there have been no updates on production or the show's release date. However, there is a possibility that we'll get some great news before the end of the year.
The live-action Death Note (not the 2016 series) and the first season of Alice in Borderland are still streaming on Netflix. Alice in Borderland Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date.
