In the latest TV show ratings, CBS’ S.W.A.T. this Friday drew 4.6 million total viewers and a 0.5 rating, ticking up in the demo to tie ABC’s Shark Tank for the night’s best non-sports rating.
Leading out of that, Magnum P.I. (5.2 mil/0.4) and Blue Bloods (5.8 mil/0.4) were steady.
Fox’s coverage of the American League Championship Series Game 1 between the Astros and Sawx averaged 5.3 million viewers and a 1.1 rating, up sharply in audience from last year’s Astros/Rays ALCS opener.
Elsewhere, The CW’s Nancy Drew (380K/0.1) dipped to its second smallest audience to date while rising in the demo… ABC’s Shark Tank (3.5 mil/0.5) was steady and tied CBS’ SWAT for the night’s best non-sports rating… and NBC’s Home Sweet Home life-swapping show debuted to just 1.4 mil and a 0.2.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Kids, ask parents before calling.
How is SWAT in the lead spot?Their numbers are abysmal.
By today’s standards, those are great numbers. CBS needs to keep SWAT on Friday.
Should swap places with Blue Bloods, which I think would do better at 8.
They tried moving Blue Bloods from that spot once in season 1, it didn’t last long
Home Sweet Home wonāt have a home much longer. Those numbers are embarrassing and a repeat of any procedural can do better. They will probably banish it to Peacock!!
Rooting for Nancy Drew
Me too. I wish more people would give it a chance, its so good!
Magnum P.I. was excellent last night! Keep up the great work:)
Swat needs to stay on Friday’s, actually improving on its Wednesday numbers. Sunday will just go down, like usually does….all scripted Friday just works for CBS.
They might as well just keep SWAT on Friday nights.
SWAT usually ticks up in viewers in adjustment (+0,3), they will once more we’ll see on Monday, still would expect a tick down on demo (they had 0,43 last week). It’s interesting they do better in demo than Magnum and BB. Magnum is too low losing on both other CBS shows. That’s not good.
I love SWAT, but it seems itās on equal footing with MacGyverās former ratings, a show I miss.
You could not view the Red Sox v Astros in San Antonio without a sports package containing FS1 on Direct TV. I also donāt believe that the games (with the exception of the first one broadcast on the regular FOX channel) were available on over air channels either. You think that might account for low ratings?
