Whether you live in Milton Keynes, or you're just passing through, there a number of beautiful walks to go on.
Milton Keynes isn't just all about shopping centres and concrete cows - there are over 50 parks to explore.

In fact, you're never more than half a mile from a park - and they are all free if you don't include parking.
What better time to take a refreshing walk in Autumn around a lake? Specifically Caldecotte Lake in the south of MK.
Park at the Caldecotte Lake South Car Park and then take the paved path towards the lake circular path.
Turn right and follow the hard surfaced gravel paths that go around the whole lake.
The path will curve right at first and then take a sharp left - after the sharp left you will be walking in the direction of the lake.
The path will curve right before reaching the lake, going under the Bletcham Way road, heading towards the lake again.
Once you reach the incredible views of Caldecotte Lake, the path will curve right taking you along a relatively straight section between some woods.
The path will take you between Caldecotte Lake and a smaller lake on the right - then take the first left.
Follow the path going around the lake, when its curves right it will take you between some trees.
Take the next left once again following the edge of the lake. Soon the River Ouzel will be on your right.
Loop round to the left and take the second right path towards The Caldecotte Pub and Grill - famed for its windmill - and enjoy a well deserved, snack, drink or lunch.
If you're with the kids or grandkids, you could even head over to the play area.
Turn right out of the playground and head towards the river to finish your loop.

Again you will go under the A4146, just on the other side of the lake.
Continue to follow the path all the way round the lake and you will eventually pass Milton Keynes Rowing Club.
Around here the path will take you round two circular dips in the lake, past another playground, and leading you to the car park.
This walk will roughly take one hour and 30 minutes altogether, which will be nicely split with a meal at the pub.
