The Montana Grizzlies dropped their second Big Sky contest on Saturday losing to unranked Sacramento State 28-21.

The loss snaps it’s 12 game home winning streak at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.

Montana started slow and could only muster six points in the first half and trailed 14-6

In the second half quarterback Kris Brown threw a costly interception inside the red zone as Marcus Hawkins intercepted the pass at the 2-yard line.

Brown finished the game 29-36 passing for 188 yards and one interception. He also ran in for two touchdowns.

Montana as a team struggled offensively only rushing for 84 yards and finishing with 272 yards total.

Meanwhile, Sacramento State nearly doubled Montana offensively putting up 456 yards of total yards and had 30 first downs to Montana’s 17.

Up next for the Griz they’ll travel to Moscow to take on Idaho.
