GREENSBORO, N.C. — A High Point woman is facing charges after a person was seriously injured following a hit-and-run crash over the weekend.
According to Greensboro police, Nyquasia Shybreal Rowell, 23, was arrested and is facing charges for felony hit-and-run after the crash Saturday morning.
Investigators said the crash happened near the intersection of Friendly Avenue and Spring Street.
Rowell is accused of hitting the pedestrian and taking off, leaving them in serious condition near Friendly Avenue early Saturday morning.
The person was taken to the hospital, according to Greensboro Police Department's public information officer Ron Glenn.
The intersection of Friendly Avenue and Spring Street was closed early Saturday morning. Police said the road reopened just before 7 a.m.
