VILLAGE OF WRIGHTSTOWN (WLUK) -- Police say a 46-year-old woman from Oshkosh was arrested for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
They were originally called to Hickory St. at the cul-de-sac to check the welfare of a woman that was in her vehicle and about to go into the Fox River.
The call came in just before 9 Friday night.
Police also received calls of a vehicle hanging on the edge of the bank and partially in the Fox River.
Officers noticed the vehicle had driven down the embankment about 50 ft.
It was also stuck at the edge of the water.
Officers then made contact with the driver who was crawling out of the passenger door with help from a nearby resident.
The driver was then helped to the road and was checked by medical staff and was not injured.
