San Francisco, CA – In the Golden State Warriors preseason finale, Stephen Curry didn't disappoint. It started with a slow night that ended up being a jaw-dropping performance. He poured in 41 points and 7 three-pointers in 30 minutes of play. Curry's performance led to a blowout victory over the Portland Trail Blazers and a ton of praise. Moses Moody, Kevon Looney, and Steve Kerr spoke about it in their postgame interviews.

“Man, it’s crazy. Just to be sitting there, and he’s doing it for your team because I’m on the team now, so when he’s doing it for us, it makes it a lot sweeter than watching it on TV,” Moody told ClutchPoints.

It's Moody's rookie season and his first look up close at Curry's greatness. If you've seen one of these performances in person, you have an idea of what he experienced Friday night. But not many have seen Curry's heroics from the vantage point as a teammate. Even the ones who have are still amazed at the things he does.

“It is always fun to watch when Steph is putting on a show like that. We see it a lot. It is getting close to the real games, so you see him turn it up. My team played pretty well, so it is exciting, as you can tell for tonight,” Looney said of Stephen Curry.

Looney has been teammates with Curry since 2015 and has won two NBA championships with him. Seeing Curry do his thing doesn't get old no matter how many times you saw it. As the regular season begins on Tuesday, Moody will soon learn this lesson as well. Curry is special and can score the ball like nobody's business.

Kerr usually mentions how he's run out of good things to say about Curry. Since it's early in the year and his star player put together a rare 40 point preseason game, he found a few more words.

“He's just an incredible athlete,” Kerr continued. “At the peak of his powers still at, how old is he, 33? He's just remarkable to observe, and obviously, we're lucky to have him leading the way for us.”

The Warriors kick off the regular season against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. It will be the beginning of a season where the Dubs are trying to journey back to the top.
