Who's Playing

No. 21 Texas A&M @ Missouri

Current Records: Texas A&M 4-2; Missouri 3-3

What to Know

This Saturday, the Missouri Tigers are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 37.5 points per game. They have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Texas A&M Aggies at noon ET Oct. 16 at Memorial Stadium at Faurot Field. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Mizzou and A&M will really light up the scoreboard Saturday.

The Tigers beat the North Texas Mean Green 48-35 last week. RB Tyler Badie was a one-man wrecking crew for Mizzou, rushing for two TDs and 217 yards on 17 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD. One of the most memorable plays of the matchup was Badie's 52-yard touchdown rush in the second quarter.

Mizzou's defense was a presence as well, as it collected two interceptions and two fumbles. DL Mekhi Wingo picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, A&M's offense rose to the challenge against a Bama defense that boasted an average of only 18.2 points allowed. Last week, they narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Alabama Crimson Tide 41-38. A&M QB Zach Calzada was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 285 yards on 31 attempts.

The Aggies' defense was a presence as well, as it got past the Crimson Tide's offensive line to sack QB Bryce Young four times for a total loss of 26 yards. Leading the way was DL Tyree Johnson and his two sacks. Johnson now has three sacks through six games.

The Tigers are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past four games, so buyers beware.

Mizzou is now 3-3 while the Aggies sit at 4-2. Mizzou is 0-2 after wins this year, A&M 2-1.
