NOVI, MI - Cosplayers came out in full force on day one of Michigan’s largest comic con. After a two and a half year postponement due to COVID, Motor City Comic Con has returned this weekend.

Masks are required at the big event which runs through Sunday, October 17 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. Some people took off their masks for a moment to take photos for MLive.

The event, which usually occurs each May and was cancelled in 2020, features tons of artists and vendors as well as celebrity guests and panels, gaming and more. The event drew 70,000 people in 2019. Here’s a small taste of some of the best cosplayers we came across from the first day of the 2021 event.
