Rev. John Unger II and Marti Steiner

Marti Steiner and Rev. John Unger II were united in marriage Oct. 4, 2021 at Mt Zion Episcopal Church in Hedgesville, West Virginia. Dr. Ed Grove was the officiant.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Gilbert Steiner and Patricia Steiner of Dunn, North Carolina. She is a graduate of Elkins High School, a graduate of Glenville State College with a BA in Education and is currently enrolled in the Iona Collaborative (Seminary of the Southwest).

The groom is the son of the late Starlette Laughlin and the late John Unger. He is a graduate of Martinsburg High School, the University of Oxford, WVU and the Wesley Theological Seminary.

The maid of honor was Michaela Hersom and the flower girl was Patricia Steiner. Music was provided by Marybeth Grove. Andi Johnson and Vicky Bullet were also in attendance as well as many others virtually via zoom.

The best man was “Godfather” Tom Lange. The groomsmen were Xavier Hersom and Zak Hersom.

Entertainment was provided by Mikie Steiner and Grace Unger.
