Jury selection wraps up in Montgomery County reptile breeder murder case

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jury selection wrapped up today in the case against a man accused of killing a Montgomery County reptile breeder.

Michael Humphrey is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Ben Renick.

Humphrey and his ex-girlfriend Lynlee Renick are accused of killing Ben back in 2017.

Jury selection for the trial happened in Cape Girardeau today.

After jurors are selected they will come to Mexico in Audrain County where the trial will be held.
