SNY | Andy Martino: While we know that the Yankees are making some coaching changes this offseason, the fate of manager Aaron Boone still hasn’t been decided or announced. While it seems like that the Yankees will end up trying to keep him, it seems as if some other manager-less teams would be interested if they did not, perhaps even the Mets.

New York Daily News | Kristie Ackert: Beyond Boone, there are many other questions the Yankees need to answer ahead of next season. From who’s playing shortstop to the general direction of the organization, here are five burning questions the Yankees need to answer ahead of 2022.

New York Post | Andrew Crane: The 2003 Yankees-Red Sox ALCS kerfuffle that notably involved Pedro Martínez and Don Zimmer turns 18 this year, and Martínez recently recounted it as part of an interview. Here is a recap of him explaining what happened on his side, and he says that the incident with Zimmer is the “only blemish” in his career that he would like to erase.

FanGraphs | Alan Nathan: Giancarlo Stanton’s sixth inning single off the Green Monster in the Wild Card Game ended up being a turning point in a bad way for the Yankees. Aaron Judge was thrown out at home attempting to score, majorly stifling a potential rally. However, in many other parks that don’t a big, stupid wall that shot might’ve not only been a home run, but a very long one.

NJ.com | Mike Rosenstein: Ryan LaMarre played a bit part role for the Yankees in 2021 at points when they dealing with injury and/or COVID issues. Now that the season is over, LeMarre has opted for free agency. He had a walk-off hit on July 21st in an otherwise unmemorable stint.
