It all started for Sam Johnson back in eighth grade.

"I came up to my dad to buy a single lighting control box," Sam said, "and my middle school actually let me put on a lighting show in the cafeteria for Christmas."

Fast forward almost 10 years later, and Sam has turned his parents' home into a light show spectacle with more than 16,000 lights, and his parents don't seem to mind.

"Whadya say?" said Lisa Johnson. "You just sort of go with the flow."

The light show isn't just fun and scares. It also raises money for Clothes To Kids.

Over the years, it's totaled more than $12,000.
