UPDATE: Names released in Doddridge County accident that killed 4 people

WEST UNION, W.Va. — Deputies have released the names of the people involved in an accident on Friday which resulted in multiple deaths.

According to deputies with the Doddridge County Sheriff’s Department, every individual involved in Friday night’s two-vehicle accident has died.

The driver of the Fed-Ex truck has been identified as Christopher Spicer, 62, of Grafton; the driver of the Malibu has been identified as Larry Root, 42, of Paden City, deputies said.

Also in the Chevy were Roxana Root, 69; and Linda Yost, 15, both of Paden City, according to deputies.

WEST UNION, W.Va. – A vehicle accident in Doddridge County has killed four people, according to the Doddridge County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident happened at about 8:45 p.m. Friday, along Route 50, near Doe Run Road.

According to Doddridge County 911 and the Doddridge County Sheriff’s Department, a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu pulled onto Route 50 west from Doe Run Road and a FedEx truck that was traveling Route 50 West struck the vehicle. The truck driver, Chevy driver and two passengers have been pronounced dead.

The Doddridge County Sheriff’s Department is investigating. The department was assisted by the West Union and Bridgeport divisions of the West Virginia State Police.

According to West Virginia 511, both westbound lanes of Route 50 are closed at this time.
