George and Brenda appeared in multiple scenes in Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 2.
In this week's installment, Meemaw (Annie Potts) ran into Brenda at the local market, and the latter looked guilty.
Meemaw picked up on Brenda's body language; that's why she decided to confront George and asked if they were having an affair.
George made things worse because he refused to give his mother-in-law a straight answer. And he even went out of his way to call Brenda and told her that they should get their stories straight.
Meemaw decided to look for answers herself; that's why she went to the bar where George and Brenda hung out before her son-in-law was hospitalized.
Meemaw asked the bartender if he saw George and Brenda doing the nasty, and he said that the two just talked the entire night.
The bartender immediately phoned George to tell him that Meemaw was just at the bar. And George confronted Meemaw about it.
Following their heated argument, Meemaw apologized to George for thinking the worst of him. And George told her that he understands that she's just protecting her daughter.
However, the confrontation between the two didn't stop George and Brenda from hanging out again.
George told Brenda about everything that happened between him and his mother-in-law. The two also talked about their fun night out and were forced to stop because Billy (Wyatt McClure) walked in on them.
While George and Brenda are technically correct in saying that they are not doing anything wrong, it's only a matter of time before they act on their urges.
It's not hard to see the connection between the two. And Brenda also gives George all the warm and fuzzy feelings he's been asking from his wife for years.

Georgie's parents are enraged, and they are discussing how they could potentially change their eldest son's mind.
Sheldon hears his parents talking and says that it's best to focus on his education because he's the smartest one in the family.
