Northern Missouri man charged with molesting, sodomizing girl

LACLEDE, Mo. —
A northern Missouri man is facing three felony sex-related charges.

Nicholas Wesley Jones, 19, of Brookfield, Mo., formerly from Laclede, Mo., is charged in Linn County with two counts of statutory sodomy and a charge of third-degree child molestation, all three charges involving a girl who was 12 to 13 years old at the time.
According to court documents, the alleged crimes happened in the summer of 2019 at a residence on Highway 130 outside Laclede.
The investigating deputy from the Linn County Sheriff's Office said in her report that the girl told authorities that Jones touched her breasts and made her touch his privates.
Jones pleaded not guilty this week. He was released on his own recognizance in mid-September 2021.
