The Matrix Resurrections Synopsis Reveals A More Dangerous Matrix

The Matrix Resurrections is almost here and we're finally learning more about the highly anticipated sequel. The synopsis has just been revealed and it has confirmed that the new Matrix is more dangerous than ever.

There have been new updates on Matrix 4 since the trailer drop last month. For instance, we found out that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is playing a new version of Morpheus. In addition to that, Keanu Reeves' Neo has acquired a new identity and has forgotten most of what he has gone through in the Matrix. However, that doesn't mean it's no longer a threat.

Now, the synopsis for The Matrix 4 confirms what we've thought about the sequel so far. There is a new Matrix and it's only getting stronger.

"In a world of two realities—everyday life and what lies behind it—Thomas Anderson will have to choose to follow the white rabbit once more. Choice, while an illusion, is still the only way in or out of the Matrix, which is stronger, more secure and more dangerous than ever before."

It doesn't confirm what has been happening to Reeves' character since we last saw him. However, there is little doubt that Neo will be back in action and ready to face the Matrix all over again.

The Matrix Resurrections is directed by Lana Wachowski and will also star Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, Telma Hopkins, Eréndira Ibarra, Max Riemelt, Toby Onwumere, Brian J. Smith, Andrew Caldwell, and Ellen Hollman. The film is scheduled for release on December 18, 2021.
