Paramount+ has released an official trailer as well as a new poster that includes the announcement for the premiere date of the second season of the Emmy-nominated docuseries Texas 6. Season 2 of the series will be released on November 8.

The series follows Coach Dewaine Lee and the Greyhounds, a high school football team from the small town of Strawn, Texas. Strawn is a town that plays six-player football as opposed to the traditional 11 because the team simply doesn't have enough players to fill the roster.

The second season will contain eight episodes and will show Lee and the team fighting to get another shot at the top in the 2020 season after their crushing defeat in the previous year. While all of this is happening, Lee must find a way to balance the time between being a coach for the team and being a caretaker for his ailing father, who is fighting cancer. With the couch in and out, one of the boys is going to need to step up and be a leader to get the team to where they need to be.

"Texas 6 has been a three-year labor of love for our small production team. And while football has always been a reliable source of narrative tension and excitement for our story, it's the people of Strawn and their willingness to invite us into their lives that has been the greatest gift," said series director Jared L. Christopher in an interview with PEOPLE. "Strawn is a special place and their humanity and love of community has never been more apparent than what we witnessed last fall and now have the privilege of sharing with you in season 2."

In April, the series earned a nomination for Outstanding Serialized Sports Documentary at the 2021 Sports Emmy Awards. This is just one series in Paramount+'s ever-growing collection of documentaries, which include Dream Team: Birth Of The Modern Athlete, Behind The Music, From Cradle To Stage, For Heaven’s Sake, and That Animal Rescue Show, as well as documentary films Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In, Cher And The Loneliest Elephant, Kacey MusgravesStar-Crossed: The Film and Madonna’s concert film MADAME X.

The entirety of the first season of Texas 6 is currently available to stream exclusively on Paramount+, with Season 2 set for release on November 8. You can check out the new trailer and poster for the upcoming second season of Texas 6 down below:
