For KING & COUNTRY Announce New Album And ‘What Are We Waiting For?

For KING & Country has new music and tour dates on the way. The four-time Grammy winning duo announced that What Are We Waiting For? – marking their first album of new music in three years – is due out March 11. The band also revealed the routing for a 33-date trek, featuring arena gigs across the U.S. from late March through May.

“So many of you have encouraged us and spurred us on in this journey since we began the writing process at the top of the year,” Joel and Luke Smallbone said in a joint statement. “We’ve made records before in busses and in dressing rooms, but what’s been particularly beautiful about this one is that we were able to be home with our families. So looking forward to offering these songs to you and coming to see you across the United States next spring on tour!”

With a setlist featuring new song and an all-new stag design, “What Are We Waiting For? – The Tour” kicks off March 31 at the Landers Center in Southaven, Miss. Stops on the routing include Chicago’s NOW Arena, Pittsburgh’s Petersen Events Center, Fresno’s Save Mart Center, Las Vegas’ Orleans Arena and Albuquerque’s Tingley Coliseum.

Pre-orders for the album are happening now. A few months ago the band released the music video for the lead single from the new album, “Relate.” (See below)

A ticket presale is ongoing with the code “WAITING.” The general on-sale starts Friday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. local.

Plus, the band announced the For KING & COUNTRY New Album Weekend Experience March 4-6, described as offering “fans a chance to spend the weekend with Joel and Luke in their home base of Nashville.” The experience includes a full band concert, exclusive album listening party and meet & greet.

For KING & COUNTRY placed at No. 7 on Pollstar’s 2021 Mid-Year Top 100 North American Tours chart with $1.21 million grossed and an average gross of $67,078.
