WASHINGTON (KLKN) – Former Lincoln Police Officer Mario Herrera was honored during a special ceremony on Thursday.
It was part of the National Law Enforcement Memorial Vigil Service in Washington D.C.
Every officer killed in the line of duty across America over the last two years was named.
Herrera died one a year ago after being shot while serving a warrant.
