Kacy Hill has released her new album Simple, Sweet and Smiling.

While she confirmed the album's release only weeks ago, it is truly a must-hear project. The singer had previously shared the songs "Seasons Bloom" and "Easy Going." It's a beautiful, clearly very personal record from Hill, who self-released the 11-track album.

As we previously mentioned, just as Hill had begun the process of writing and recording new music, her father suffered from and survived a major heart attack, which took the singer back to her hometown to be with him. Meanwhile, her agoraphobic panic disorder, which had affected her since childhood, began to resurface.

Those events greatly affected what would eventually become Simple, Sweet and Smiling. The album is said to be a document of Hill navigating her thoughts and emotions and feelings of mortality in the middle of very challenging times.

In addition to the new music, Hill recently confirmed her first tour since 2018, with a North American run of shows beginning in November.
