Fall River’s Drag Queen Scene for the Toddler Set [OPINION]

The drag queens are coming! The drag queens are coming!

Yes, indeed. The folks who run the Fall River Public Library, apparently elated about attracting anyone beyond old gents with newspapers, have invited the drag queens back for an encore performance. In fact, organizers say Drag Queen Story Time is so popular with the masses that it will be a monthly event.

Bella Luna must have really packed them in during her appearance on October 9, because she has already been booked for a return engagement on November 13. It was reported that Myles Lowry, the Media Director for the Fall River Pride Committee, believes Drag Queen Story Time is "a great way to bring the community together."

I don't have anything against drag queens and this is not a gay issue, so save your self-righteous condemnation. Guys can dress up like Madonna or Barbra Streisand all day long if they choose. It's none of my business and it doesn't bother me. Praise be to any guy who dresses up like a woman and makes money doing it. Entrepreneurism is the American way. But leave the kids alone.

The whole idea behind Drag Queen Story Time is to indoctrinate young children by mainstreaming alternative lifestyles. Knock yourselves out, but the kids are off-limits.

Any parent who would bring their children to Drag Queen Story Time or expose their young children to grown men in drag for purposes of "entertainment" needs professional help. There is plenty of time for kids to be introduced to alternative lifestyles when they are older and understand better what it's all about. Let kids be kids.

To Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan and the folks on the library board who feel it is appropriate to use a publically-funded library building to influence young children in this manner, you deserve to be fired.

Parents, find your voice. Speak out. Don't fear the woke crowd. The future of your child's mind is worth fighting for. These entertainers are not appropriate for children and this foolish program should be discontinued immediately.
