USA vs. Costa Rica, 2022 World Cup qualifying: Man of the Match

A comeback win yielded some wonderful performances

The United States Men’s National Team closed out their October World Cup qualifying window with a 2-1 victory over Costa Rica Wednesday night in Columbus. The USMNT had to overcome a 1st minute goal by the Ticos to win it, with Sergiño Dest equalizing in the first half and a Leonel Moreira own goal that was caused directly by Tim Weah’s incredible strike.

The SSFC community really commended some of the players for their performances, with some pretty high marks coming in. One stood out over the rest. Sergiño Dest grabbed the highest rating and was voted the SSFC Man of the Match.
