The Winnipeg Jets are looking to rebound from their 4-1 season opening loss on Wednesday night to the Anaheim Ducks as they make the trip up the California coast to faceoff against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night.

Hellebuyck did not have the best of games in his first start of the season against the ducks. In Anaheim, the Jets’ number-one netminder, made just 18 saves on 22 shots faced.
The reason why Hellebuyck is a value pick versus the Sharks is because he is a goaltender that responds really well. Bad starts are few and far between for the former Vezina Trophy winner and he is expected to return to top form tonight.
1. Mark Scheifele
The Jets will see the return of their star player, Mark Scheifele, in this game as he returns to the lineup after serving his four-game suspension.
Besides being a top centerman in the NHL and one of the top point scorers on the Jets, one of the reasons Scheifele is a value pick in this game is because he has great numbers the past couple of seasons in his first game of the season.
In his past five season opening games, Scheifele has four goals and two assists and has registered a point in each of those contests.
These are incredible numbers and history shows that Scheifele picks up points during his season debut. This makes him a valuable player and someone to watch out for.
