WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A Redford man was killed Thursday in a head-on crash with another vehicle in Ypsilanti Township, police said.
Emergency crews were called at 12:45 p.m. Oct. 14, to E. Forest Avenue and Browning Avenue for a report of the crash, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.
Crews arrived at the scene to find one driver, a 26-year-old Redford man, had suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
His passenger, another 26-year-old man, suffered injuries that were not life threatening and was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 30-year-old woman, also suffered injuries that were not life threatening and was taken to the hospital, police said.
The preliminary investigation indicates the Redford man was going east on Forest Avenue when he crossed the centerline and collided with the woman, police said.
The roadway was closed for several hours while police investigated the scene. It has since reopened.
