The Los Angeles Lakers are winless in six preseason games. But you'd be hard-pressed to see Russell Westbrook or any of their other stars sweating it.

The Brodie was asked about the Lakers' goose egg in the preseason win column, and he gave the perfect response to whether it means anything.

Via Lakers reporter Kyle Goon:

Asked (with qualifiers) if an 0-6 preseason sits with him any type of way, Russell Westbrook says he doesn't know any of the preseason records from his previous seasons and chuckles: “That should answer your question. No, it doesn't matter.”

No matter how skeptical you are of the Lakers' title hopes, preseason underperformance is hardly indicative of future success. LA kept their stars out for a handful of contests and also tinkered with lineups that may never see the light of day during the regular season.

The preseason is the perfect place to stumble in order to get a better grasp of what needs fixing or what doesn't work once the regular season begins.

After two preseason losses to the Golden State Warriors, you better believe that Frank Vogel and the Lakers staff are hard at work to get the team ready for their opening night tilt against Stephen Curry and Co. Those six preseason losses will be a distant memory if they start out 1-0.
