Nintendo revealed pricing details and launch date for its premium-tier subscription for Nintendo Switch Online, the service that lets Switch owners play multiplayer games online and offers access to a library of classic NES and Super NES games. The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which Nintendo announced in September, will cost $49.99 for an individual membership and $79.99 for a family membership (which includes up to eight accounts) for 12 months. Nintendo will launch the service Oct. 25.

In comparison, the standard Nintendo Switch Online subscription tier costs $19.99 for a year for an individual account and $34.99 for a family pack.

The premium version of Nintendo Switch online brings a bundle of retro games to the Nintendo Switch from the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis. Nintendo also announced Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis controllers for the Switch back in September at a separate Nintendo Direct.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will also offer access to downloadable content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Nintendo announced that DLC, Happy Home Paradise, during a Nintendo Direct presentation on Friday. If you want to buy the DLC by itself, it will be available for $24.99 on Nov. 5, 2021.
