EDEN, N.C. (WGHP) — One person was killed, and a person of interest is in custody after a shooting at an Eden gas station, according to police.
On Friday morning, officers responded to a shooting at the Citgo on Washington Street.
Officers were able to take a person of interest into custody.
The victim has been identified as James Ray Watkins, 37, of Stoneville.
The person of interest’s name has not been released.
