Adele is opening up about what it took to finish her highly anticipated new album, 30, set to release next month.

In a new interview with BBC's Radio 1 Breakfast with Greg James, the "Easy on Me" singer shared that she feels she's in a "stronger place" after finishing her fourth studio album, which she's previously revealed is all about the aftermath of divorce. The new project was also simultaneously "bloody hard to make," according to the singer.

"I definitely feel like I lost sight of and lost the appreciation of what a gift it is to be into music and be able to make it," Adele told James during the conversation, per People. "I think I got a bit frightened of it for a while and it really, really took care of me big time. Not just making this record, my own record, but diving back into old records of other people's that I loved, discovering new artists on SoundCloud or whatever. It brought so much joy to my life being able to listen to music and wail at the top of my lungs along to me own bloody songs as I was writing them."

The singer also said that ultimately she knew she needed to share the project with the world so others could heal their own heartbreak.

"I was singing things I didn't even realize I was feeling or thinking," Adele said. "But I'm really, really proud of it and I feel like I can't unlock a door for my own mental health and take the key with me. I've got to leave it in the door for everyone else and I'm in a strong place now where I feel like I can put that vulnerability out."

Earlier this week, Adele announced that 30 will release on November 19, almost six years to the date after her last record, 25. She also wrote a touching note to fans on Instagram about her conceptualization process and what her most recent project has meant to her.

"I feel like I've finally found my feeling again. I'd go as far as to say that I've never felt more peaceful in my life," the star shared. "And so, I'm ready to finally put this album out."
