Bills vs. Titans predictions: NFL experts make Week 6 picks

The Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills will close out Week 6 when they meet at Nissan Stadium in Nashville for a “Monday Night Football” showdown.

This is the fourth meeting in four seasons between these two teams. The Bills have gotten the better of the Titans in two of the last three, but Tennessee came out on top against Buffalo in 2020, 42-16.

While the Titans have been OK through their first five games, consistency remains an issue, especially through the air and on defense.

The Bills are in a different boat. They just got finished with crushing the Kansas City Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 5, cementing themselves as the best team in the NFL.

There really isn’t anything the Bills don’t do well. They own top-10 rankings in all of the major offensive categories, and top-five rankings in the major defensive categories.

Because of their respective starts to the season, it’s easy to see why the Bills are road favorites over the Titans ahead of Monday night. But, are there any experts going against the grain and picking Tennessee? Let’s find out.

Pete Prisco – Bills 27, Titans 24: “This is one of those be-careful games for the Bills, who could be caught in a letdown after beating the Chiefs on the road Sunday night. The Titans beat the Bills last year by playing a lot of zone coverage to slow down the offense. But this Titans defense isn’t very good. The Titans’ offensive line also has issues. The Bills will win the game, but Derrick Henry will keep the Titans in it.”

Vinnie Iyer – Bills 27, Titans 23: “The Bills had an emotionally charged big win in Kansas City and will have a mild letdown against another AFC playoff team it has had some trouble against in the past. But Tennessee’s offense doesn’t have the firepower to keep up beyond the strong running of Derrick Henry. The Bills’ passing game can beat the Titans in many areas downfield and they will have rushing success with Josh Allen and others, too.”

Bill Bender – Bills 35, Titans 31: “The Bills have a case as the best team in football, but this is a tricky matchup. Remember Derrick Henry’s legendary stiff arm last year? That was in a 42-16 victory against Buffalo. Tennessee still is trying to get Julio Jones back, and that could set up a thrilling AFC shootout. We’re not betting against Josh Allen after making that mistake last week.”
