Meghan, Harry buying a property in New York because they want to be bicoastal: Rumor
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are, allegedly, eyeing a property in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
According to Life & Style, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have always wanted to be bicoastal.
Following their recent trip to New York, the couple, allegedly, realized that the Big Apple is the next best place for them to purchase a house.
At present, Prince Harry and Markle reside in a $14-million mansion in Montecito. And they still intend to make this permanent home.
However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, allegedly, want a second property that they can stay in every time they visit the state.
“Harry and Meghan are looking to invest in a second home in New York. They want to enjoy the best of both worlds – a city pad on the East Coast and a country house on the West Coast,” the source said.
The insider added that Prince Harry and Markle want to stay in the same property where other A-listers live. This way, they can feel like they belong.
According to the source, the Duke of Sussex is especially keen on buying a house in New York because some of his British friends reside there.
“He has friends who’ve relocated from the UK to Manhattan to work on Wall Street and says NYC feels like a home away from home,” the source said.
Another upside to buying a house in New York is that Prince Harry and Markle could, allegedly, visit Queen Elizabeth more frequently. After all, the state is just five hours away from New York.
But even if this is the case, the tabloid was still unable to provide any concrete proof regarding Prince Harry and Markle’s alleged plans.
By the looks of it, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have no plans to purchase a house in New York. And the tabloid is just saying this because they recently visited the state for a series of engagements.
Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may love New York, they chose Montecito as their home when they relocated to the United States last year.
