CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) – Greenwell Springs Rd. is back open on Friday morning.
The Central Police Department spent the early morning hours clearing up a Hazmat scene.
Central PD notified the public of this situation around 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 14.
The Hazmat scene stemmed from an “overturned truck in the 23,700 block of Greenwell Springs Road just North of JL Fairchild.”
The road was shut down while the scene was cleared overnight.
There is no word on whether anyone was hurt during this Hazmat situation.
