To Score the Fastest 100th Goal for Liverpool is Something Special: Mohamed Salah

The ‘Egyptian King’ is having the season of his life. He scored his 100th top flight goal in the beginning of September against Leeds United, and his streak has continued. He scored six goals in five appearances, and carried the Liverpool squad through some sticky situations, leaving them unbeaten in all competitions.

As a result, he has been named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for September in the Premier League, and has also received Liverpool’s Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Month (also for September).

“I’m happy as long as the team keep winning. I’m trying to help always, to score goals and make the team win games – that’s the most important [thing]”, he said.

His favourite among them was the goal scored against Milan in the Champions League.

“[It’s] the first time I scored against them in the Champions League. Also, we were 2-1 down so it was an important goal to get us back in the game, so I can choose this one.”
