Who is Dottie Quinn?

Dottie Quinn is Love and Forty’s mom. She has an estranged relationship with her kids. She is first introduced in season 2 as a wealthy socialite and is married to Ray Quinn. She and her husband own Anavrin, a high-end grocery store in Los Angeles. But in season 3, we start to see Dottie spiral because of her pending divorce to Ray.

Does Dottie Quinn die in You season 3?

Dottie does not die in the third season, but she could’ve died because of her reckless actions. In episode 7 of season 3, Dottie is drinking a lot and is unstable. She tells Love that she lost Anavrin in the prenup and now her new business venture, the vineyard.

Her constant drinking makes Love distance herself from Dottie. So when Dottie asks to babysit Henry, Love tells her that she already has a babysitter. This angers Dottie, and she ends up kidnapping Henry and takes him on a ride while drunk. Not only is she endangering her life but also Henry’s by driving while intoxicated.

It gets worse when Dottie takes Henry to the vineyard and sets it on fire. Fortunately, Dottie and Henry weren’t affected by the fire, but it could’ve gone another way since she was drunk.

In the end, Joe drops Dottie off at rehab, and she leaves Joe with a startling message that has him rethinking his whole plan.
