On TV this Friday: Michael Myers resumes his reign of terror on Peacock (and in theaters), Amazon reboots ’90s cult classic I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Syfy launches the George A. Romero homage Day of the Dead. Here are 10 programs to keep on your radar; all times are Eastern.
The film franchise’s latest installment sees Michael free himself from Laurie’s trap and resume his ritual bloodbath. (What else is streaming in October?)
Series premiere (first four episodes): A group of teenagers find themselves bound together by a dark secret — and stalked by a brutal killer. (Watch trailer.)
Season 2 finale: Baba and Edo lead their respective sides into battle at Greenhill Gap. (Previously renewed.)
Filmmaker Todd Haynes’ documentary explores how the group cemented its status as one of rock and roll’s most revered bands.
Season 3 premiere (all 10 episodes): New parents Joe and Love find themselves surrounded by tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers and Insta-famous biohackers. (Get scoop; watch trailer; already renewed!)
Series premiere: Each episode of Ava DuVernay’s unscripted social experiment follows two families as they accept the challenge to explore a world unlike their own. First up, Black lesbian mothers with three young children enter an Orthodox Greek family of six.
The Houston Astros host the Boston Red Sox in the ALCS Game 1, live from Minute Maid Park.
LAPD veteran and former SWAT member Rodrigo Sanchez (Animal Kingdom‘s David DeSantos) makes his debut as the new team leader.
Sparks fly between new community liaison Nancy and her law enforcement counterpart. (About those Season 3 premiere prophecies….)
Series premiere: This ode to George A. Romero’s famous flesh-eaters follows six strangers trying to survive the first 24 hours of an undead invasion; Keenan Tracey (Bates Motel), Daniel Doheny (Brand New Cherry Flavor) and Kristy Dawn Dinsmore (Vikings) star.

Will Hondo regain his leadership position on Swat?
He better, and soon, or I’ll stop watching!
You know the team will be back together!! It has too!!!
Didn’t he return at the end of last week? I thought he was reinstated. I must have read more into it.

I watched Halloween Kills it was pretty good. A little disappointed in some areas though.
I watched it as well. The worst part for me was Anthony Michael Hall taking over the movie. Jamie was on the back burner and that’s not what most Halloween fans want. I hope the conclusion is better than this one. I feel like this was a waste to watch.
Halloween Kills
I Know What You Did Last Summer was released yesterday evening. I watched the first 2 episodes. It’s more like Pretty Little Liars than the movie / book. I’ll stick with it but it’s like watching a soap opera than a horror show / movie.
