Coronavirus

Long COVID: While the belief is that most COVID-19 patients recover fully in about two weeks, “that is not accurate,” says one of the leaders of a Penn State study. It found half of survivors have lingering effects for six months or more. Read more.

Case counts: Over the past week, Pa. has averaged about 4,600 new coronavirus cases per day. As of yesterday, close to 3,000 people were hospitalized with the virus, 664 of them in ICUs. Read more.

Heating bills: With prices surging worldwide for fuels, the U.S. government expects households to see their heating bills jump as much as 54%. Read more.
